How to remove a broken key

Best advice I can give on how to remove a broken key is to give us a call first.  Reason is that if the key gets pushed in further then it may cost you more to have it removed.

Ok here is my best method of removing a broken key in a wafer lock.  Use a twisty tool as shown below.  Simply twist it in and pull the key out.  The trick is that you will have to hold back any wafers that have sprung up in front of the key or it wont come out.  For a hard key you can try using 2 twisty tools, one each side of the broken key.  Twist them down beside the broken key then twist the tools together.  This makes for a firm grip on the piece of broken key.  If you cant find the twisty broken key extractors you can sometimes find the wire used in a round type of saw, bit like a coping saw?
